need digitizing help with Sierra Design

Default need digitizing help with Sierra Design

I don't understand why I am not getting enough density in my lettering for a design that I have created. The letters are almost 1/4 of an inch tall. Started with 4 lines/mm of density and ended with 10 and I seemed to be worse. My taller lettering is fine. This may not be enough info but if someone can help, I can explain more or send file.

1/4 inch tall letters are tough regardless of the software or machine... For something that small, I usually use a size 9 needle and 60 weight thread.

For your lettering, I would try density of 5.7, pull compensation of proportional 5% and underlay of centered... These are just the suggested starting points we were given with our machine and EO9.

What Font style are you using? Mistake #1 when dong lettering is not using a Font that's embroidery friendly at that size.

Also, here's an article on Small Lettering that Ian wrote up on the subject. It's on an older version, but it's the concept what you want to look at:
