The reason I say this is there are many good machines on the market. They range from smaller home machines to commercial machines. You must do the research to find what feels good for you and matches your price range. Remember you get what you pay for. I personal own a Tajima single head, 15 needle but looked at a few others at the trade shows. The internet is a good place to start and there are used machines out there as well. The better machines all have pretty web sites to help you spend your money. Good luck in your research. Remember your software will be an important item to chose.
Most of the embroidery machines on the market will do caps. The very small sewing/embroidery machines 'can' but it's not easy. If you are looking for something with dedicated cap frames, etc, you need something like the Brother PR600 or bigger. Each brand has it's advantages and disadvantages, different frame sizes, etc.
You also need more than just the machine... you need software to digitize the designs into something the machine will understand or you will have to pay someone else to convert them for you. Digitizing is an art form in and of itself.
You might want to find someone local and subcontract them out to start with. You could also attend a trade show and see the machines and software in person and then decide if you want to go down this street...
