In the early '90s is when I started hearing "Tajima head", referring to Melco's "black-head" or "Tajima-head" models. If I remember right, Barudan was the first one to have a cylindrical head, yet no one called it the "Barudan head" because they were the only ones, hence no need for distinction. |
