Re: Has anyone purchase Dakota Collectibles from their website? First of all you're not paying for the design at the shop. You are paying for the embroidery. When you do pay for a design, Dakota or any other company, you are not buying the design itself, but rather a license to use that design at one location by the person who bought it. It cannot be given, traded, sold, etc to anyone else. You buy it, you use it. That's it. While most of us have their complete collections, which can cost us 4-5 grand, new designs do come out yearly. For those who use stock designs, this gets expensive. Your local embroiderer has spent tens of thousands of dollars for decent equipment to give you a quality product. Trust me, it's worth the money you spend with him. |
