welcome to the world of choices

seriously welcome to the other end
we have a toyota 9000 and it has been great for us
its the same as the tajima neo some minor changes
needle sequence and electronics
any of those are good in my opinion
check for good customer service and dealer close to
you if not then go with price and extras
good luck
jim

The brand of machine is not nearly as important as training and tech support.
All are good machines but not worth much at all if you don't have the training and tech support that is needed, especially for a new user.

I would say yes, but almost all new machines uses one anyway. We also have an older tajima with a control panel that's difficult to use. It might also help if the LCD monitor shows the image being sewn in progress (in real time), just like in a Tajima TFMX models. If you're located in a place where there's a lot of foot traffic, the machine will surely get noticed and you'll hear some wows and ohhs.

As for the machine choice, I started with a Tajima NEO so that gets my vote, but I agree that it's better to get a branded machine from a supplier who can provide you with reliable support and training.

If you have never had the LCD it isn't hard to learn. If you have had an LCD, it takes some betting use to going back.

I like the LCD for starting and helping to understand and see how things work. Now I would'nt be opposed to a non-LCD machine but I would prefer it.
Also don't rule out looking at the Baruden machines.

We had recently bought SWF 1501 T.. we had 4 days of training here in Tampa. We were green green before getting the machine and honestly we love it. We are still learning and 9 out 10 times we do something wrong we can fix it on our own.
