Re: What software? Training and Support is a must You going to the P&P in the UK John. I went through this dilema last year, and looked at them both, but only needed an upgrade for Drawings as I have an earlier version. Came away with DecoStudio (as it still included Corel Draw), I've just received the upgrade to DecoStudio1.5 (had some dongle trouble, but Wilcom support was/is fantastic). Not had time to play with it as yet (in all honesty didn't have time to get used to 1.0, and it's now nearly 12months on).
If you already have CorelDrawX4 then you will be paying for it again within DecoStudio1.5. For either of these programs to do a fair to decent job you really do need a very clean precise Vector, otherwise they just layer the colours which makes for a very high stitch count and thick design. I'd download their sample design and stitch this out first so you can see what I mean (it's colour upon colour upon colour) not very good digitizing. Though no doubt there is some control within the software to erase the under stitches where you don't need them.
The lettering though is top notch, and I've used this more often than the rest of the program.
