Default How much for this order?

14 polo shirts with a simple one color 5x5 logo over the heart area. I understand every process is different, but since I don't have any equipment yet, I have to farm this order out. What I have received in terms of pricing from local businesses as well as online companies seems pretty steep, maybe it's just me being cheap. I have seen prices from $80 - $350. Shirt sizes are mostly youth, with one or two Adult XL.

What would you guys charge for this type of order?
Thanks!

Somewhere between $75 and $500.

In other words, you need to be a lot more specific...

Type/quality of shirts?
Screen Print, embroidery, plastisol, printed heat transfers, vinyl, embroidery?
Turn around time?
Design details - graphic or text only?
Location?

Without that kind of info, all you are going to get are swag's...

Since you posted this in the embroidery forum I assume you want embroidery. 5X5 is pretty large. Expect to pay at least $10 per shirt just for the embroidery.

Polo shirts will run from $20-$30 each.

We would charge $30/each plus tax and shipping as an out the door price as long as the logo to be sewn was not too complicated. If I need to send it out for digitizing then expect to pay another $50 to cover that.

Part of the reason your getting a high price may be that a 5 x 5" logo is too large to fit into the standard LC hoop and IMO too large for a LC design especially on youth shirts. I'm assuming these are larger youth sizes because you'd run out of room between the placket and the sleeve on smaller sizes. Can you downsize the design?

A 5x5 is way too large for LC, max for LC is 4 x 3 larger than that would require the image to be lowered on the chest towards the torso.. and even that would not look good.

To convert the image to digitizing we would charge 90.00 to the customer with embroidery at 1.25/1000. If you are going with a 5x5 then estimate a conservative stitch count at 13,000, once again depending on the complexity of the design. If it is a design with a lot of fill stitches then double that number.

From experience too many fill stitches in a LC will result in "bunching" and will look good off the machine, but not after the customer washes it. We have a LC design with 23,000 stitches which requires a lot of backing/solvi and even then it folds up.

As for shirts a basic 2100 would run something like $14.00 and something with a better hand ie: 5562 more like 25.00. So the price (retail) is also a major factor on your prices. The size (youth) really does not matter, more so the quality.

Since we don't have enough information for a "true" pricing quote, and do not know your profit margin. Price cannot be provided, but a guess of $300.00 is well in line.
