Need to Register?

Just curious to see if anyone uses this program. What do you think of it, likes/dislikes? I've used it for the past 6 years and is all I know currently. Also, is there an updated version of this program out there that I can't seem to find?
Or is there a better program that I should try out? Our machine is a Brother PR-600 so it would have to be compatible with it.

PE-Design 6.0 and 7.0 are both available. I'm currently using 7.0. The 6.0 upgrade had some nice features in it, I don't recall 7.0 having that many things. I'm so used to PE-Design that I have a hard time finding how to do things in other programs.

I take it that there isn't a free upgrade to 7.0 and you would have to buy brand new software. That sucks because all I need is the up-to-date software and not the card and reader. We paid enough for the version we have now and don't want to pay that much again just for an upgrade.

Correct, each version is a separate upgrade. I just looked on Fleabay and the 7.0 upgrade says you can upgrade from 5.x or 6.x. At least you wouldn't have to buy 6.0 and 7.0....

I don't believe you get the reader etc with the upgrade just the new software--

Yes, when you buy the upgrade you only get the software and it is usually about half the cost of the full blown version because it does not have the reader. We used PE-Design for many years even after buying our first two Amayas, but we finally got their Design Shop software and it is so much easier I can not believe I waited so long to change programs. PE-Design is really for home users and the other programs like Design Shop are commercial programs and they do so much more for you that PE-Design can not.
