Im aware that users are often disappointed with certain aspects embroidery software.

1- What are the 5 ( or more) most important aspects you want to see present in a software package?

2-Is there a specific function/s that you consider above all others in your everyday work?

3- How important is it to you as a user, to be able to correspond direct with a development team? ( By this I mean those working firsthand on the product, not someone representing a co)

SunEmbroidery

Important aspects:
1. Fonts that embroider well, lots of fonts and information on sew-out size
2. Ability to easily select items within a design for easy editing
3. Good stitch conversion for resizing designs
4. Easily able to merge designs
5. Ability to overlay hoop template over design to see if designs fits in hoop
6. Ability to import artwork to use as a template

I don't digitize myself but I do use lettering and I want it to look nice and have a good selection of fonts to work from. I have TTF conversion but that never looks as good as well digitized text.

It would be good to have input on software development.

I use Design Shop Pro PLus from Melco it does all thing listed above and more.The one thing it doesn't do or I have not figured it out yet is how to customize the zoom feature. I really like the way Corel Draw zooms in and out with the wheel on the mouse and it zooms to were the cursor is at in the design.
