Default Need Help with DecoStudio

Just getting my feet wet with DecoStudio but it won't let me save to a floppy, so I can sew it out. The screen keeps saying invalid File name no matter what I do? At least the design is saved to my hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're saving to floppy to sew out, what file format does your machine recognize? Most will recognize a standard Tajima format, which is .dst. Perhaps you need to try to save your filename as xxxx.dst to the floppy.

I tried Changing the Ext. as well as formatting a new disk. I have a Tajima neo which is only set up for disk, but I still can't get it on a disk to get it to the machine. Is there a way to connect the machine to the computer, when the machine is sixty plus feet away?

Is this possibility a trial or demo version of the program? Did you receive any type of security "key" or USB dongle w/ the program? If you can save to your hard drive, try using your Windows program to copy the file from hard disk to floppy; then use the "file rename" to change the file extension on the floppy to .dst so the NEO can read it. If that does not work, there's some issue within the program that causing the Save feature not to work (trial or demo will not save), so best to contact the mfg. tech support. You could also ask them if your program supports transfer to embroidery machine, and what's the max. length of cable.

Thanks Brian, I've been playing with the program for a while since my last post and I think the program just does not like me. I guest I will just have learn how to get tech support to help. Oh I do have a doggle and I hope it is a full version for what I Paid. Two grand is a lot of money for a demo. I was told that version four would be out soon, but that was six months ago? I will keep you up to date with the out come.

Tajima Neo is the same as our Toyota. I would save the file to your hard drive in whatever format you use. Probably .dst. Once you save it, open windows explorer and click and drag it to your floppy through windows.

If it doesnt do that, I suspect something is wrong with your drive or the floppy itself.

Is this the first software that you have used? How did you get designs to the machine prior to Deco?
