I have 4-10 nylon sports jackets I need team logos embroidered onto the pocket/chest area. 2-3" in size What would I look up in the phone book for a local company to do this?

You could also look up t-shirts or "screen printing" in the phone book. Many screen printing shops also offer in house embroidery as well.
or just go to your local shopping mall. they have that kind of stuff in those kiosks in the isles.
Good suggestion. Found one little kiosk at the nearby mall. Artwork conversion for $25 and no minimum. Artwork work gives the girl something to do all day instead of playing solitare.

yeah. those guys don't have much to do during the day.
On top of that I am sure that high school student is going to do a terrific job of digitizing the design with all of the experience and training they have
