Smile To Twill Or Not To Twill

Looking into purchasing the Twill program for the raised look on my garments. Does anyone have any help as to its worth or not? Also looking for a good auto digitizer the one that came with my package
Embroidery office 8 doesn't seem to work very well. Any and all help would be great.
