I live in Costa Rica, I have a home combo, have had for years actually on my second one wore the first one out. I am teaching myself digitizing doing well. I now want to buy an industrial machine and wondering what machine might be best for me. I am thinking single head or 2 to begin with. I know I would need more than six needles or threads. For tech support is a must being here in CR. Any help or advice is apperciated. Thanks Sandy
I have a Barudan single head - 15 needles - and love it. Barudan shows on their website they have support in Central and South America but I would contact them for specifics.
Listen to Judy on this one. The machines are pretty much the same, support varies a lot. I think Jane has the older Barudan while I have the newer one. Wouldn't give you two cents for my tech support. Totally worthless and I'm hearing lots of problems with the newer ones. Maybe they are getting the bugs out, but support is everything with these machines.
Tajima is what I'm aiming for! I've been doing a lot of research on 'em and plus of the 4 vendors I use to outsource my work to...ALL have 'em. Good luck w/whatever you decide. I am sure there are other brands out there for less money that are just as good. But, I've already got my heart/eyes/mind set on that manufacturer.

I bought my Barudan in 2004 and have never had a problem with it that I didn't cause myself.
Tech support has always been the best.
