Default Quality Control

I used to work in a Kitchen making factory. The QC guys came round randomly with a check list and QC'd everything whilst we worked. I never got a look at the lists so dont really know how a QC list looks or works.
Im looking to set up something for the embroidery company as the machine opps are currently QC-ing themselves and that cant be good.
I have a bit of a list together but am a bit stuck on where to go with this next. Can y'all have a look for me and see what Im missing and maybe point me in the right direction?

- Design in correct position
- Design is correct size
- Correct colours used
- Overall look of design is good
- Any lettering is clear
- lines are edged properly
- No puckering

- Thread path is good
- Tensions are correct
- Correct stabalizers/topping used
- Correct needles used
- No needle issues
- Garment is framed up correctly
- Machine is running at correct speed

I was thinking a QC check list would have paths on it. Like if there is an X (instead of a tick) in the no puckering box then a path of possible soloutions would lead off it.

Is that how these things work?
Ideally I want somebody with limited embroidery knowledge to be able to walk round the machines with this checklist and QC the jobs.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer

Default Re: Quality Control

I would include machine condition; oiled correctly, no accumulations. Is there a log or something to indicate what needles are currently installed?

Thanks Frank, no there isnt but at the moment all the needles will be of the same sort and are swapped over for caps and back again after the cap job.
Do you have any advice to offer on different needle types for different garments?

Currently Schmertz 120s are used for caps and Groz-beckert 75/11s are used for everything else.

I will put oil & accumulations in, thanks.
