Hi everyone, I'm pretty much a newbie to embroidery. There is so much software out there I am very confused on what to get. I've been considering Pe Design Lite and Embird. I do not plan on getting into digitizing very heavily. I just have a few designs that I would like to change into a format for embroidery. Are there any programs that will do this automatically or do they have to be done manually. I don't know a thing about digitizing. Also, if some of them are easier to learn than others. I would appreciate any information you could give me. Thanks

I would suggest Stitch Era, just because it is free. You should be able to do everything you would want with that.

StitchEra Universal [free] or Embrid [very low cost] are probably the best two for you to check out.

You will have to put up with some on screen advertising with the free version of StitchEra

Should also have mentioned that I think there is something like a 40,000 stitch limit [per design] on the free StitchEra Universal software
