If you have a broken link on your site or the pages, which don’t exist any longer, have moved to a new server or have never existed at all, visitors will get an internal error message from the server. However, by default these messages aren’t that helpful. Custom 404 pages are a great way to show off a little personality and bring a smile to your visitors faces.
Whilst a well designed page can provide a means to find what they are looking for, wouldn’t it be great to display related information a visitor might be interested in or even redirect them back to the main page with a custom 404 page, here is a collection of 36 cool custom 404 pages to inspire you, well not all are very informative some are simply an image or just a funny message but it still goes with the site itself.
