can someone answer a few questions for me regarding big cartel? I like the simplicity of their site, but there are a few things about functionality I don't know about.

- when you redirect your url (www.yoursite.com) to your big cartel site is it hosted through them or do you have to host it yourself?

- when you buy the upgrades are you given access to the same 'clean' looking checkout and cart buttons or do you have to use those ugly yellow paypal buttons?

bueller? what I mean to say regarding my first question is, do I have to pay for hosting outside of bigcartel? i've redirected my domain name through godaddy.com.....does this mean everything is taken care of?

I don't use Big Cartel, but I was under the impression that it's a hosted solution... hence all those blah.bigcartel.com urls.

If all you want is for people to get to your bigartel site when they type in your godaddy domain name, then you are all set. You don't need a separate hosting account unless you need to link to other pages outside of bigcartel (like a blog, or faq, etc.). You just need to tell godaddy to redirect your domain to your bigcartel domain.

I assume when you ask about upgrades you are referring to the different pakages they offer? Bigcartel never has those big ugly buttons. No matter which level you buy, the overall site will look the same.
