Default How do you track customers?

I need to track where my traffic is coming from. I use Statcounter for tracking, but is there anything else out there that might work even better?

yup, you just place a piece of code before the </body> tag on your site pages and it tracks everything for you.

You can use both and see which one you prefer.

I've never used statcounter so I can't say which one is better. Analytics is free and doesn't take long to set up, so you can't go wrong just trying it out.

I use statcounter and analytics, I prefer statcounter because it tracks individual visitors, their paths, keywords etc. Analytics is more anonymous.

State counter is good but you need a database that will store this information and use to also keep track of leads, customers, and customer interaction. I would suggest SAlesforce to tie everything together.

Google Analytics is so good that many consider the fact that it is free to be very scary.

Sales-n-stats from Qualiteam is compatible with several carts out there and can provide real time tracking of visitors. They even have a free version.

However Google is amazing for being able to track everything, but then more importantly studying the data later on down the road. It can also be tied to your Google AdWords campaigns (if any) and give you all the data you're looking for on your conversion rates.
