Default building website

Okay im a bit confused now about Zencart and cubecart,Correct me if im wrong i read many of the post here and still lost.

Do you have to have a website already done to add (cubecart or zencart)?

Or if i buy cubecart or zencart will i be able to build my own website with the shopping cart features in the program itself?

I currently have a website with big cartel but dont like the paypal method, and i also know i cant add cubecart or zencart which su....s.

Hi. You need to have your own web space on a server that runs PHP. It also needs to have provision for a mysql database. Most hosting companies offer this set up.

So all i need is to register my domain name with a hosting company that offers these things is that correct? I dont need a Web template or anything like that?

Excuse my ignorance that im fairly new to this but your help is really appreciated.

Also do you know of a good hosting company that offers this?

Exclamation Re: building website

Hi. Two ways you can do this.

You can have your own web site pages with a link to your online shop.

Alternatively, install the shopping cart and you can add custom 'about me' pages etc, from within the application itself. The shopping cart will automatically open when people visit your site.

Just google 'php web hosting' and check out the deals. It must have a mysql database though, to store your sales data.

You need a web hosting account, but you CAN build your own website using zen cart or cubecart to power the WHOLE site and give it a completely unique look.

As dreamglass pointed out, you should make sure the web hosting you purchase has PHP/MYSQL. I've heard good things about hostgator and lunarpages.
