Default Does Ecommerce Impact My Bank Choice?

I have to decide which bank to set up my business account with. All of my sales will be through my website which has not been built yet.

I don't want to set up my bank account now to find out later, when I'm building the website, that I should of went with another bank.

Does ecommerce impact this decision?

No, not really.

Most (if not all) merchant accounts can be set up to deposit funds in any checking account.

Thank you Greg.

So now I just need the best bank in the Fresno, California area. I've had my personal bank account with Wells Fargo my whole life but there are a lot of other banks around here......

I've used Wells Fargo for years. They work just fine

Sac Town, one of the best places to go out for a great breakfast! And at night? 33rd Street Bistro works for me.

You might want to choose a bank that provides online banking so you can easily moniter transfers. I hear that most do but not all are set-up the same.

hi Jennifer : )

Funny that you mentioned online banking because I was just thinking about that.

I'm thinking that most of my monthly bills will be charged to my debit/credit card so I was thinking that it wouldn't be that important to me.

But maybe I'm thinking about "Bill Pay" and you might be thinking about being able to view your account's transactions online only?

All payments from our web site (about half our business) are received through PayPal and then transferred into a banking account. On line banking is a good way to moniter that money on a daily basis. If someone hacks into your account they can do a lot less damage the sooner you know about it.

I totally agree. I couldn't imagine being in the dark and not being able to see your account information online.

I though that all banks allowed you to do this so I thought you were talking about bill pay. Sorry for the confusion. I would not be happy if I picked a bank and then found out that I coundn't see my account online.

Thanks again Jennifer : )
