Domain registered at GoDaddy. Hosting at Lunar Pages. I'm having difficult time installing cubecart.

I heard it's better to install manually than use one click install from Fantastico? Well, either way I tried, I seem to do something wrong as when I click the site, it's still the "page parked free courtesy of GoDaddy page."

I'm very unfamiliar with cPanel, even FTP, etc.

Could someone help me out step by step? Thanks.

If you have the fantastico in your cPanel use that. It will ask you for a couple of details (eg directory if you don't want it in the root) password etc

I tried fantastico. must be doing something wrong, b/c when i click "visit site" under current installations, it goes to the default godaddy page. do i have to enable something on the godaddy side of it? i only register domain there.

This is what is asks for. which of the below do I already have and which am I creating now? For example, am i using my cpanel for adminstrator user name or creating new one? for admin email, can i use any of my email?

Installation location

Install on domain___________
Install in directory_________

Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain (access example: http://domain/).
Enter only the directory name to install in a directory (for http://domain/name/ enter name only). This directory SHOULD NOT exist, it will be automatically created!

Administrator-username (you need this to enter the protected admin area)_________
Password (you need this to enter the protected admin area)__________

Base configuration
Admin e-mail (your email address)_________
Admin full name____________

I think it may have to do with nameservers. i changed it. gonna wait till tomorrow to see.

You should be creating a new username for the admin access stuff. It's talking about the admin/management areas of cubecart.
