Default Shirt pics on website...

Hello Forum-

In initial site roll-out I used just drawings or Adobe Illustrator drawings instead of real shirt pictures. After numerous requests and investigation of other sites, it seems to be the trend to have pics taken of the shirts modeled by real people (ie Cupcakes) or just a picture of the shirt (ie Palmer Cash).

Since I don't have time or budget to round up a model shoot each release I'm leaning towards doing it like palmer cash.

Does anyone have ideas how to shoot the pics with results like Palmer Cash?

Thanks!

doesn't look too hard. just put a shirt down on the floor (they probably use a white ground) but you could use whatever floor, and take a pic of the shirt. if they have the money for the white background then they probably screen print a shirt for the photo as well, but you can easily photoshop your shirt image on the shirt, close cut out the background and no one would be able to tell. plus if no one orders that shirt then you didn't have to make a screen for nothing. good luck.

The photographer probably uses a light box to take nice pictures of the shirts.

ALot of people use these tents :
50CM Studio Photo Light Box Cube Tent w/ 4 Backdrops UK on eBay, also, Studio Equipment Lighting, Photography (end time 12-Jan-08 21:15:00 GMT)

You can get really good results and dont need photoshop etc.

If your planning to just photograph the details of the tee then you could probably get away with using daylight from the window, no specialist equipment
