well I was thinking just an idea but what if I do a webhosting company for just tshirt companies such as yourself ?
would anyone purchase hosting ?
this is just an Idea I dont have a company or anything setup but if people were interested in it I might actually look into it and see if its worth the hassle
Personally, and this certainly is no reflection on you but, I would never place my trust on something so important as hosting on a small, start-up company.
Bigger is better in my opinion when you are talking about things such as web hosting. You want a company with the resources, experience, and redundancy to get you back up immediately in case of a disaster. Because let's face it, a natural disaster that causes our site to go down indefinitely is what scares most of us to death. What happens when you are based in New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina occurs? Or Los Angeles during an earthquake? It's critical that your hosting company has backup redundancy in other parts of the country where your downtime during disasters like this are minimal. Most small mom & pop shops can't offer that type of protection
Why do you feel there is a need for a dedicated t-shirt website hosting company? What's your experience in web hosting? What's your experience in t-shirt sales? What would make your hosting company different that would benefit t-shirt websites?
I think if someone developed a hosted "package" website that was targeted to this industry it could be successful. Something with a variety of nice templates and layouts that allow for a lot of photos, and a built-in shopping cart that could handle things like various colours and sizes.
There are some sites that do similar things, such as bigcartel and shopify, but none that I've seen that are specifically geared towards apparel.
Well I meant a webhosting company just for tshirt companies and such...
I already have the servers in La,St Louis and Nyc so really I would just have to take off my gameservers (that really are only used every month or so) and get bigger HDs and etc etc.
and I would have to look into what would make my hosting company be the number one choice for your industries market.

Yeah, I don't see that being a big selling point. I mean, you really have to think about offering some product or service that the other webhosting companies don't, not just saying that it's "just for t-shirt companies".
