Default Dream Weaver Slicing Help!!

What i want to know is i sliced up my images in Corel, now the space where i left for writing to the body of my text pushes the below slice of my layout down as my text grows longer, i want to stop this from happening, like lock the bottom slice, so it forces where i put the text, to have a scroll bar, any suggestions thnx

This is kind of a complicated issue. What you have to do is either have the sides around the text area to be repeating or have them a solid color so that you can color the cell.

If I understand you correctly, this should fix your problem: just make the slice a background image of the cell you want to put it in, so you can type on top of it. Depending on your page and table layout you could also choose to use fixed images in your style sheet

ok heres what i want to do with my layout, i want to make the layout lets say like a square, now all my text and images go inside the square, but for me to fit all the things i want, you need to make the bottom and sides longer..

what i want to do is to have a scroll bar, so the outsides and bottom do not need to be extended or pushed down further

get my drift?

becasue in dreamweaver, as i put text, and as i put images, it pushes my bottom image further down to fit it all, but like i want the bottom image to be a frame, understand?

I think you're trying to do what is called an "iframe".

I wouldn't recommend it for useability reasons. Just let your content scroll naturally so the shopping can use the far right scollbar like they are used to. Otherwise they may miss the extra content with the inside scrollbar.

But if you really want to do it, here's a tutorial: Dreamweaver Iframe Tutorial
