Hey all,

.com is good as it's generic and easy to say, but if my primary market is locally within Australia do you think it's better to go with .com.au? This way it's clear to customers that I'm an Australian business

Do you plan on shipping outside of Australia? If so, .com might be a good choice. But if you prefer to have customers mostly in Australia, then I would recommend getting the local name.

Get both. Too cheap not to. Then follow Tees advice. And forward the other one to the one you choose to use.

Great idea,
I bought the domain names in .com that sounded close to my name,
just to protect myself. It's cheap insurance.
