I've been running an Epson 1280 for a few years with Artainium bulk feed system. We've had to replace the system 3 times, inks have gone bad. Now my black ink is a problem and tech support says all my inks are expired.

I'm thinking about replacing the entire system since investing in new inks in an outdated system doesn't make sense.

We produce mostly corporate type products - badges, plaques, tiles, max 8"x10" size.

Any suggestions? Is the Ricoh GX5050 comparable cost and quality?

The 5050 is an awesome printer. I have the 7000 and love it. I will not go back to Epson. The 5050 is also super fast. Also it is a 4 color which will save you on ink costs. I would highly recommend switching to the Ricoh for what you need. Look at some of the other posts about the 5050 and 7000 and you will see what I mean. Also visit dyesub.org which is a sublimation forum. Lots of info there too.
