Default gelsprinter only for sublimation

can you do anything with a gel sprinter besides sublimation transfers???

and you can only use its prints on polyester or poly blend shirts?

Yes, sublimation can only go on polyester and poly blend t-shirts.

If you don't want to use the sublimation ink, you can use the ink that comes with the printer and do regular heat transfers.

are there any recommended papers? or does coastal sell any for if i just use the regular inks?

Yeah, Jet Pro Soft Stretch for light colored shirts is certainly a Forum's favorite. Neenah has come out with the updated version of Jet Opaque which I'm sure will take off. Those are two great papers to start with.
