D120 CIS Tubes Blocked Hi all,
I have an Epson D120 with an ArTanium CIS. The system is used infrequently and I have had quite a lot of clogging issues.
I was able to clear these clogs using a variety of techniques.
However, recently, only Magenta and Cyan were working and all attempts to unclog the yellow and two blacks were fruitless.
I eventually discovered that the issue was congealing of the ink in the tubes. Funnily enough, it was the tube section from the join/connector to the CIS print cartridges that was the problem, there was no issue from the join/connector to the ink tanks. I was able to clear the clog using a syringe. The black inks were severely congealed in the tubes and came out with quite a lot of pressure, as gunge.
My question is, does this indicate an issue with my CIS system?
Secondly, how do I prevent this? I guess, printing frequently is required to prevent clogs? But how much would be enough? I'm considering setting up a batch job to print, say, a colourful test page once a day? Is this enough? Is it overkill?
Would be interested in thoughts.

Reason: Way too many typos for my liking!
