Hello. I'm a complete beginner trying to get a small t-shirt business going here. I recently purchased an Epson WF30 with a CIS. Unfortunately, my CIS never worked out and I'm currently in the process of returning it.
Questions: Now that I'm getting a new CIS for my WF30, will any CIS work with the various sublimation dyes? In other words, I want the least expensive yet reliable CIS I can get that will work with my Epson printer, but will the sublimation dyes for this particular printer work in whatever CIS I purchase?
I hope that makes sense. Please help me, I'm having trouble starting out.
I so wish people would search threads on this forum before purchasing CIS for small Epsons. THEY DO NOT WORK! I purchsed not one but two different CIS and neither worked properly. This forum is full of similar post as yours. The crazy part is the distributors know they do not work yet they keep on selling. If people started to post company name and salesperson name who they purchased this garbage from maybe they would stop selling it.
Refillable cartridges are the only way to go. People also need to start putting the heat on Sawgrass to sell their Sublim ink for small format printers. This ink never clogs - has great colors yet only available for LF printers.
Throw the CIS out get yourself some cartridges and enjoy sublimation.
I so wish people would search threads on this forum before purchasing CIS for small Epsons.
Sometimes people don't really know how to search a new forum, even if they've belonged to other forums before. Somethings they do search, but don't know the correct terms to use to bring up the right threads. Sometimes there are just reasons why these things will inevitably happen again and again. That's why the forum has more than one post that are the same as others.

Thank you for the great advice. It's much appreciated.

Hi, We have an Epson Stylus 1290 which we use a CIS and get subli-trans ink. We've only recently had a few issues of catching, but we've had the CIS for quit awhile and it has been moved around alot. Not sure where you are, but we quite often got our CIS from GJS machinery and we get our ink from there as well.
