My black ink is a mess - all fuzzy, blurry. I've cleaned the heads, did nozzle checks, nothing helps.
I use Artainium bulk ink system.

All the other colors print okay, just a problem with the black.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just won a bid for a big project and I'm getting very nervous. Thanks!

Hi Linda,

You probably have some buildup of ink on the bottom of your print head that is not cleaning off during the head cleaning. You can soak the head and capping station with Simple Green to try and get it clean. If you are not sure the complete proceedure, you can give me a call and I would be happy to email you some directions. You could also try putting in the Original Epson Ink Cartridges and try printing with those to see if it does the same thing.

Thanks Kevin for emailing the cleaning directions. Unfortunately it didn't help. I'll have to call Sawgrass to see if there's a problem with the ink - we've had a problem in the past where the ink was bad. Also will have to run the OEM ink tanks to check it. Can't find the covers the ink tanks. My luck they're in the file cabinet that someone locked and we don't have the key. It's been that kind of month!
