Unhappy Just install cis on epson.1400 nozzle check?

Hello! Guys.

I just install CIS system from someone I met through
craigslist for $340 plus tip$10.
I know I should have checked nozzle check and printout some sample photos but,he told me within few hours it should be fine..I took it home test it out I only get one good line and 3 lines doesn't show up and last 2 lines are all broken lines. I did head cleaning few times and still does samething.Very unhappy with the result I am getting..do you have any idea what might be the problem?
The person said he will fix it for me but, not know when! He just said he'll let me know. If it was you? what would you do and what are some good solution for this.
Thanks for your advice.

When I first setup my ArTainium inks in the bulk system, I was ready to reach through the phone and kill the tech rep from Sawgrass. I had a production run and none of the inks would flow properly. I do not know how many nozzle checks I performed. Finally it started working with a trick from Coast Graphics Supply. Raise the bulk ink box about 1 inch off the table and print. Remember to lower the box when you are finished.

Along the same lines, do not keep the tanks above the printer - about an inch or so above the table works best as stated above. I made the mistake of mounting them about a foot in the air when I first got mine and had ink running all over the place.

try changing your print settings. I noticed when I had the paper type set to "plain paper" I was getting streaks in my designs like the heads were clogged. I switched the paper setting to "photo paper glossy" and ever since I've been getting perfect prints everytime.

Hope this helps!

Best Regards,
Ken

sometimes on the ciss you have to use a syring to pull the inks through the line, put syring into cart hole and pull back the plunger to get the ink to the end. give it a try. we have been using refillable cards with a lot less hassle. good luck
