Hi,
I do dye sublimation and I recently found out that there is a new line of 65% polyester/35% cotton Ts available for dye sublimation, at kidsblanks.com under the Paint Me label. They are really aimed at people using Paint Me paints but they work great for dye sub and are good quality Ts at good prices. I know some of you guys like 100% polyster but for those who prefer a mix these could be good. These Ts are children and adult sizes and they haven't got them on the kidsblanks website yet. I think they are going on soon. However they are selling them so have a look.
Hi Ken,
Like all polyester/cotton mixes, the sublimation colours fade from the cotton leaving the print less vibrant than on 100% polyester. We find that our customers like the effect just as much as the bright ones AND they don't like 100% polyester, particularly Vapor which are a bit scratchy. These new shirts are also a shape that we like and the fabric is a good weight. It really depends what finish you need to achieve but for us these work.

I am curious if you print all over the T? I ask because the white poly tees I got from Kidsblanks seemed very blue tinted and I was afraid if I only printed in one section the shirt would look weird. Plus I had REALLY bad customer service with Kidsblanks regarding trying to return product that I wasn't happy with. Now i've chosen not to order from them anymore but i'm stuck with the product.
Hi Trueremnant and Susie,
I don't know if the Kidsblanks 100% poly Ts have a blue tint but the 35/65 mix don't and you can print on all or part of the surface.
It's right that in theory you loose 35% of the ink when you wash the printed Ts but in practice it doesn't look like 35% less. The colours are still quite clear although, of course, not as deep as on 100% poly.
We've never had a problem with customer service at Kidsblanks. We've had good experiences with them so maybe you caught them on a bad day.
Thanks
