Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping...
Have anyone done some Mug sublimation using the Ricoh GX7000, mug wraps and the suggested 15 mins bake time?
I ask because I have a convection oven, Ricoh 7000 I got from Conde, Paper from Conde, and Wrap I bought through conde.
The issue being that I cant seem to get a constant results from the wrap.
Some people have suggested that I leave the mugs in the over for upto 20 mins, but the image on the mug looks burnt as tho the ink is burning.
I have a thermometer to read the inside temperature and it is at 400.
Any thoughts are welcome.
Thanks guys!

Re: Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping... You need to experiment a bit more to find the right time/temp for your particular set up. Back off from the 20 minute time until you find a dwell time where the image is not blurred. That should be the ideal.

Re: Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping... I agree, experimenting with different settings on the time is the best way to go.
Also,Where did the mugs come from? Depending on the coating and where the mugs came from, maybe it is the coating that is burning, or just isn't that good. You didn't mention whether the mugs came from Conde or not.

Re: Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping... no the mugs didnt come from conde.
Hmmmm good point. The coating could be reacting to the heat, never though of that.
The suppliers assures me that they work with mug presses, but obviously thats a null point as I am using the wraps.

Re: Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping... What issues were you having that made you bump your time up to 20 mins.?

Re: Ricoh GX7000 Mug Wrapping... Pressure is another factor besides time, are you using Conde wraps? If so I strongly recommend getting the Black and Decker cordless screwdriver they recommend for tightening your wraps. Set it on 3 or 4 and don't go any tighter.
