Default Sublimation T-Shirt (Small Sizes)

Have a question regarding subbing of small baby t-shirts. A customer has come to me to sublimate a 3T t-shirt and sweatshirt (if even available) printed on both sides. I've done typical adult sizes before with no problems. My question is this......because the shirt is so small and you cannot split and slip half under the heatpress platen (bottom & top) after one side is done; what is the best way to do this type of shirt. My concern is this..... that after one side is done will I reactivate it when I press the design on the other side. Or will just using a teflon pillow between the shirt work. Any of your input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Cindy,

Teflon pillow in between 2 sides should work.

Hi Cindy,

You can press one side and then the other. The first side may dull a bit, so be aware of that. Depending on the size of your press and printer, you can do a full print on both sides which can be really good looking. Play around with it. Just make sure to use blank (blowout) paper on top and bottom to keep the stray dyes off of you press.

I use 1/4" mousepads for this purpose (along with printing left chest logos on polos). Cheaper than teflon pillows, and you can cut to any size. If you need for a larger area, you can use a couple of them butted up together (don't leave a gap).
