Default ArTainium colors printing wrong with epson c88+ and ICC profiles installed - navy comes out magenta

Hi Guys!

I need help with my settings. I have a C88+ , corel draw 4 and artaniium ink. I am learning the sublimation process with mugs.

I have installed the ICC profile for the printer and I have checked and rechecked to make sure everything is set correctly. I am still having problems with the colors coming out correctly. An example is Navy is coming out magenta.

I know it probably has something to do with my color palette in corel.

Can someone help, please?

April

April,

Give me a call. I will be happy to check your settings. Color management should be off in the printer driver. And, the ArTainium profile should load in Corel's color management.

How is your nozzle check?

Hey, a little more info. I am using just the Artainium cart. until I get the hang of sublimation.
Sonya, I'll give you a call in the morning. What do you mean by color management should be off in the printer driver?

Thanks,
April

Sounds like it's not receiving the cyan ink, a nozzle check should confirm that (should see all four colors/carts). Pull out your Cyan/Blue cart and check to make sure that the hole the ink comes out from has been punctured (there's usually a plastic piece on the printer that when the cart is seated will poke a hole and allow the ink to be siphoned from the cart. Also make sure that there isn't any "remove" labels that are oftentimes placed over the chip and ink hole of the cart (usually they're orange).

Ensuring that you get proper color profiling is a must as well, a correctly set up dye sub profile will have the print look a little bit faded and mirrored. Here's Sawgrass's information on proper setup:

Ok, I have done a nozzle check and cleaned the printer head. Made sure everything was set up correctly.

I think I've got it this time.I've got the blue and more green. I think I just have to play with my colors on my design to get what I want.

Thank You for your help

April
