Default Problem with heat tape

I notice yesterday that the last 6 mugs they showed a yellow spot where the heat tape was on the mug. I set the temp at 400° for 240 seconds medium pressure.

What could cause that.....or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks
Bubba

Make sure the heat tape is making conatact with the part of the transfer that does not have any dye on it. Trim the paper longer than the heat pad area as well so the mug is protected from anything that might be on your wrap or mug press. I tape the transfer close to the handle where there is no image or rubber.

Thanks I'll try that....I always trim the paper a little larger, that was the first time I notice the yellow where the tape was on the mug.

Once image is tape to the mug, wrap mug in plain white paper....before placing mug in press. If mug press has been on all day, back you time down about 30 secs.
