Any advice on best ways for high volume mug printing? We are able to run at 1300 a day using 8 mug press heads. There must be a better way and have looked at the options such as the conveyor ovens but don't fancy the clamp scenario. Anyone have experience of higher volumes?
Most all high volume mug production companies use the mug wraps with a conveyer oven. They can really increase their production without too much additional labor. Otherwise multiple mug presses is the only other option.
where can i buy sub mugs that dont come from china?
the ones i recevied recently from best blanks called orca VERY BAD QUALITY
SOME WERE BROKE IN CASE WHILE HANDLES WERE WEAK BEFORE PUTTING THEM IN PRESS
I buy Made in the USA mugs from Tucson AZ... very good quality, heavy walled.
HF Coors - Catalina China. They also make alot of restaurant china stuff. Mick at Cactus Wraps referred me to them.
Not sure about the oven as I don't like the thought of having so many wraps hanging about the place. I would think there are lots needed for high volume with cooling time etc. I'll look into it a bit further but stick with our multiple presses for now.
we just got a pad printing machine which cost us about 35k with everything it needed. I've heard they're are money makers when you can master it but its been 2 weeks and we still can't get the ink mixing done yet. The ink doesn't come off the pad completely yet on the 3rd and 4th prints(4 color pad printer).
I ordered a case from Conde and so far I have used about half of them and they were all perfect (on their end, I am not so perfect). I would recommend. They are not that expensive either.
The imported ones that I have used from Conde, are made in Thailand. They are suppose to be far superior to the ones made in China. I've only gone thru a little over 200 and not had a problem.
