Default HELP with sub ink

hi there

me and a friend are currently in the proccess of buying a sublimation printer for our heat press, we are hoping in the near future to set up a personalised gift business i.e t-shirts - mouse mats - mugs etc, but as we have no real expereance with sublimation we are hoping someone could point us in the direction of where we can get some ink from as cheap as possible, even second hand just while we do our trial testings and get to know how the proccess works?

we are based in the uk (near manchester) but willing to order from anywhere

any help will be appreciated!

thanks
carl

If you are doing desktop printers for sublimation...make sure you get one that has sublimation ink available. You cannot use most inkjet printers for sublimation..simply because there are not carts or CIS for them. I am not sure about Europe...but I think it is like the USA...you will need one of several Epson printers or the Ricoh 5050 or 7000 which has sublimation inks available. And you must have the proper ICC profile for the printer/graphics program(s) you are using. I would suggest you read all the post under Sublimation here on the forum
