I started sublimating awards. To make the process quick and inexpensive for the customer I had a bunch of aluminum sheetstock cut to 5X7 and 8X10 sizes. That way my customers or myself would be able to get frames easy. It seems to be going over well. right now I am just getting normal frames and taking out the glass. I have looked on line but have not found any place that has frames without glass for less than just going to Wallmart or a frame store. Anyone else doing plaques this way?

I use plaques rather than frames, they come in a range of sizes. fix the aluminium with double sided adhesive tape. Quick and easy and they look great.

Where do you get your plaques? The ones that I have seen seem to be really expensive and the schools and clubs have balked at the price.

I would like to have a source for wood plaques for the non economy minded customer.

My market seems to be people who do the paper awards in the certificate frames but now want to go a step above that. but don't want to spend 25.00 bucks or more for the sublimated metal mounted on wood.

I'm selling the 5X7 for 10.00 and the 8X10 for 12.00 not including frames. That way either they get thier own frame or I find out what thier budget allows.

Any trophy component suppliers will sell them. I'm not in US so not familiar with suppliers there.
I use the interior ones which are MDF with veneer face and are not expensive.
