Epson 4800 problem...
My printer will print about 10 passes and then stop printing and i'll get a Failed to Print error.
We print from Corel and use Powerdriver XG-8.
Everything worked fine until I had a computer crash.
Once I got my computer rebooted again, it hasn't worked since.
I reinstalled Corel Draw, hoping that would fix it, but that didnt work either.
Any ideas?

Re: Epson 4800 problem... Does the printer work with it's native driver, if it does, it's the software, if it doesn't it's the printer.

Re: Epson 4800 problem... It's the software as in the Print Driver (Powerdriver)?

Re: Epson 4800 problem... You might try re-installing Powerdriver.

Re: Epson 4800 problem... to complicate things more...
i took the file that printed (56Kb) and put a large color square behind it (128KB) and it would not print. Same file, but with a large square behind it (one project was towels i was trying to print).

Re: Epson 4800 problem... If it prints one file and not another - IT'S THE FILE!!!!!!
Try with other files and the same file without bits of it, i.e. delete elements until you find the one that's bad, usually eps or similar.

Re: Epson 4800 problem... i would think the same thing.
but the file that printed fine...I added a solid square...brand new, just drew it...behind the image and it would not print it.
So late last night we finally moved the printer to the other computer to try that, and it worked fine. Printed the file that would not print on my computer, printed it out just fine.
So it's definitly a software issue somewhere, but we've unitstalled/reinstalled Corel and the Powerdriver.
This is a discussion about Epson 4800 problem... that was posted in the Dye Sublimation section of the forums.
