I have been using Artainium ink bulk system ( CCI Profiles came with it ) on True pix paper for my mug press and it has been good for a while, but now I started observing black hair in the pictures are coming with red-tint and it is becoming worse. I never know how to use CCI Profiles, I just copied them to my PC as instructed. Can someone help me how to use CCI Profiles to configure to the correct color ? Or is the problem something else ? I appreciate your help. ( btw.. i use 340 degrees centigrade, 40 seconds ).
If your ICC profile is correct and I assume it was...have you done a nozzle check under the maintenance tab or do you have the right profile selected when you print?
I checked the nozzle head cleaning as you suggested, but it appears that there is no problem there as the lines were printed correctly. I am not sure where to check if I am using the correct profile. Can you please let me know which option shows the profile i am using ?
There is no option I know of that will tell you what profile you are using. you just have to follow the instructions that came with the ink and make sure you are using that profile when printing.... not the printer color chart;
BTW...you are over cooking the material...you should be pressing at 204C NOT 340C
Charles, Thank you so much. Nozzle Clean did indeed help. Unfortunately, I threw away the instructions for CCI Profile that came with the ink, after installing. Yes, I am using 320 F.
When you downloaded the icc profile (or was sent to you) there should have been an installation file with it also for whichever printer you are using showing how to install it & configure your printer.
