Default Epson 4000 Dual CMYK Problem

Hi

How do I set up the Epson 4000 in Dual CMYK mode? I have been into the maintenance area of the printer to try and change but the option I am supposed to choose is not available. I think it is "Ink Setup" that I am supposed to click on but cannot be found.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Andrew

Just finished up going through my problems with Epson and they have said not all 4000's can run Dual CMYK. I am UK based and have read articles that supposedly the option was removed for the US that is all. Any ideas if this is true or do I require some kind of software?

Andrew,

I am not sure if there is a difference between the 4000s sold in the U.S. versus the U.K. - very well might be. But in order to turn it into a Dual CMYK printer, it takes about 20 minutes and you have to follow a series of instructions that are not made up by Epson. You need to contact the distributor that sold you the dye sub ink or maybe even Sawgrass to get the instructions. I am almost positive that Epson would not provide us the instructions because we were not using OEM ink. Sawgrass might even know if they U.K. 4000s can be converted or not into Dual CMYK printers.
