Hi,

I have a problem with my mugs...... I done 6 yesterday and all my photos look great on them but the bottoms are quite faded, this is the only place where they are faded. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Are you using wraps or press?
1)The transfer isn't taped tightly enough around the bottom. .Do you have straight sides on mugs?
2)there is uneven pressure.
3) make sure the blowout paper is also wrapped tightly.
4) the bottom has more mass and takes longer to heat up...I use a counter top convection oven and while it is heating up I put the ready to cook mugs on top with bottom down...so it starts to heat and won't take as long to come up to temp once in oven.

What mugs are you sublimating? What time, temp and pressure are you using? How does the image look when you print it out? Are you using a mug press or mugs wraps? What paper are you using?

Please feel free to give me a call....happy to help.

Hi,
For now I'm using transfers that came from mytransfersource They look excellent but its just the bottom of the mug that is faded. I done a couple more today using transfers that I had for samples and I'm getting the same result. I'm using a mug press but its an older one..... mugXpress... I can't control the temp because there is nowhere on the thing you can do that. I do set the presure to heavy. I leave the mugs on for 3 min..... anymore than that. they will burn. THis is starting to drive me crazy... I ruined 10 mugs since last night.

It is possible that the issue could be with your heat press. It may not be distributing the heat evenly.
