Default Wide / Large Format Printer - Dye Sub

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a wide format printer, looking for something that can print minimum 600mm wide or A1/A0 Size.

I need A1 size minimum, I have the 1400 at the moment which I'm happy with the print quality of the 6 colours, I was also happy with the 4 colour C88.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

I'm also thinking to buy A3 printer, i'm choosing between Hp photosmart pro b8850 and epson 1400. What do you think about 3pson 1400?

I've only had it for a few months, so far so good, pretty impressed with it!

My understanding is Epson, Roland and Mimaki are the most common brands for dye sublimation.
I guess, a lot will depend on your budget and printing volumes.

Sorry, I can't be helpful with advice on the printer size you are after: I'm using Roland FJ540 - which is quite a bit bigger than A1 and an Epson 4000 with roll paper (42 cm wide) - pretty happy with both.

Where are you located? I might be able to put you in contact with some companies that service dye-sub printers, they would be able to give you some sound info on your options.
