We're getting into sublimation and we're looking at either getting a Stahl's Hotronix Swing-Away 16x20 or the Insta Model 204 Swing-Away 15X20. Is one better than the other for sublimation?
If you have a choice of an automatic and a manual, I would go with the auto. We didn't and I wish we did. When you scorch your first shirt you will find out why
We have the hotronix Slide model. Not the best for double sided shirts. You can't get the garment off quickly and you tend to get burned when positioning.
We have both models in our shop. Both do a very nice job.
The Insta will open a bit wider allowing you to work with thicker items better. Hotronix works fine, but the Insta has more adjustment. For tiles on our Hotronix, we can get 1/4" pad plus the tile. The Insta allows us to use a 1/2" pad which does a better job wrapping the edges of the tile.
