Question sublimation companies

I am looking to get into dye sub, right now i use plastisol, i know about chromablast and they don't seem that bad but could get costly with how much it cost per sheet to print. what other companies have sublimation transfer papers, i would really like larger that the standard 8.5 x 11 ? thanks

ChromaBlast is kind of a different beast designed for cottons, most dye subs will not work with cotton. From what I've read they just wash out after the first wash. There's a pretreatment you can do on cotton for regular dye sub, but research on this forum led me to believe it wasn't very good. Dye sub works fine on 100% polyester shirts, and can be used with a 50/50, but will wash some of the colors out after the first wash (since 50% of the material is cotton which the sublimation ink can't bind to).

Coastal Business Supplies offers regular dye sub paper in larger sheets, as well as rolls, they also carry some chromablast supplies.

it will cost just about as much to get into dye sub as chromablast.... you can also look into papers that are used with OEM toner in regular color lasers...

Will the production cost of chromablast equal other dye subs, because they estimate about a 1.50 for every 8 x 10 print if using the ink bags and 2.50 if using the cartirdges

Coastal has awesome customer service. I order things from them alot. Check out the vendors listed on this site to the left. Some others are Conde, Bestblanks, Alpha supply, Johnson Plastics(i don't like their website). If you go to Sawgrass Ink website you can get some more info on the inks and click on the partners tab to find distributors. They make the sublijet, Chromoblast, and Artranium inks for subdye. I have heard some negatives on Chromoblast. I'm not sure I can see any advantage to using Chromoblast over regular heat transfer and the inks are much cheaper plus you can print on darks with heat transfer and the right transfer paper. I would still use plastisol for large orders though. At least that's what we are planning to do.

i saw the advangage of chromablast by many colors at a cheap price if someone just wanted 10 shirts, i been using plastisol but i get killed on multi color and need to order a lot to be price effective. yeah with darks chromablast dont work but only other that looks good is the WOW 7.1 from magic touch but it $5 a sheet. i am real picky about feel so i dont like to use regular transfers only for like puzzles and stuff like that.
