Default clogged print head

I got my new 4800 set up with the multirip and dual inks(sublijet/multink). My printer keeps saying that I have a clogged nozzle but when I print the nozzle check it looks okay maybe the yellow is a little light. There is no missing places in the lines. Has any one else had this problem? I did head cleanings etc. then just decided to print a photo anyway and it turned out nice. Now, if I go back and do a test print it will still say I have a clogged nozzle. Oh, wait now that I look at my test page closer it looks like it's possibly the yellow on the multink side which would not have shown on my photo since I printed that for subdye. Any suggestions? It's a new printer and I also did a power clean after the regular cleans did not work.

Thanks

Don't do the "Auto" nozzle check. It will almost always tell you that a nozzle is clogged. Just do the regular nozzle check and if the nozzle print pattern looks good, then you do not have any clogged nozzles.

Kevin is right. Here is a video on the best way to run a nozzle check - YouTube - Running a Nozzle Check & Head Cleaning - MultiRIP software.

Here is also a link to the playlist for the technical support videos on MultiRIP as well - YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

There are two other things that you can try and do:
1) Go into your graphics program and create a box filled with 100% color of the channel that is clogged (i.e. yellow). Then, print that out using the correct side of ink (i.e. MultINK in this case according to your post above) and use one of the transfer graphics settings.

2) Can look at purchasing a 3rd party software program like Printer Jockey (Printer Jockey) that will allow you to flush a single channel. Then, just flush the channel that is clogged.

If none of the suggestions work above, you should contact your distributor and see what other things they recommend. Hope this helps and gets your printer fixed.
