Okay, I've decided to purchase the epson 4800 with rip software so I can do subdye and regular transfers. I'm also getting a swing press/drawer type(i just like this design). I'm also considering the Roland gx-24 for vinyl as well but may purchase that a little later. Any thoughts on this set-up? I'm still a little confused about the sawgrass system. If I'm understanding things correctly, I can get the 4800 and rip and print subdye on 4 heads and regular ink on the other 4 heads. Any advice would be welcome.

you are correct...one side for dye sub the other for regular..I am assuming you are using pigment ink on the regular transfer side.

I have a Roland and like it...but there is also there are a couple other out there, but I wanted an optic eye and I trusted the Roland name. So far so good. Chani...a forum member uses another brand and is quite happy with it

yes pigment dye on the other. Thanks. I may wait on the cutter. I have contacted vapor apparel. They are based in my area but then they list no distributors in my state. Weird? ...so hopefully I should be able to pick up direct. I emailed them and they emailed me back with a local contact number. I want to get some samples soon to try out.
