We are setting up our Epson 4800 printer for the first time. We installed our 8 dye sublimation ink cartridges and it went through the ink charging phase. Now the LCD dispaly is saying "Please Wait" and the pause button is flashing. It has been doing this for 45 minutes. The manual says this process should take 8 minutes. It says the LCD display should say "ready". Why is it taking so long? Any help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
It says not to turn off while the "pause light is flashing" it may cause damage. We have not hooked it to the computer yet because we are doing the intial set-up. If we turn it off will it have to do the ink charge thing again? If so, is that a problem?
Thanks, that worked! I have another question....How do you load the ICC profiles that come with the Artanium ink? When you try to install additional color profiles through the Epson LPF remote panel it loads them from the disk that came with the printer. How do you add additional ICC profiles?
