Default Epson 4800 Hybrid Power problem

Just unpacked new Epson 4800 Hybrid System, have taken off the tape and are ready to install print drivers & cartridges. I tried to turn on the power with no luck to my dismay. I have checked the power cord connection many, many times as well as the wall outlet which is working properly. Has anyone else had this problem with a new printer out of the box?

Look forward to your comments.

Thank you in advance.

Is it coming up with anything at all... or just dead? There is a metal head lock that must be removed as well (two thumb screws). Did you remove that already?

Yes, I removed the head lock and moved the green print head lock to the left.
It will not turn on at all, nothing happens when I push in the power button.

I guess I got a defective printer. I will be calling Epson first thing in the morning.
Already spoke to my Johnson rep that I bougt it from.

Did Johnson rep have any advice?

He thought we probably got a defective printer. I called Epson and they said it was defective. So they will send a new one, but they are backordered right now
so I don't have a firm date when I will receive the new one. Another week wasted! How frustrating.

I looked mine over last night and didn't find anything that jumped out as an easy fix (fuse, etc)

I had the same thought......but as stated earlier Epson will be sending a new one to replace the defective one. Thanks for checking yours.
